THEY KILLED HIS DOG, THEN HE KILLED HIMSELF: A Consequential Effect of Banning Dog Breeds

The Banning of Pit Bulls in Denmark Caused An Unspeakable Human Tragedy

Denmark authorities gave 27-year-old Dan only eight days to prove that his dog Zanto wasn’t one of the country’s banned breeds. He knew it would be impossible in the time allotted to prove Zanto’s creator, leaving him overwhelmed and feeling helpless.

Zanto had never done anything wrong. The only problem is that he was born a pit bull, in the wrong country.

zantoOn the 8th day mark, authorities came and took Zanto from the owner’s arms and euthanized him.

As one can imagine, Dan was absolutely devastated and took personal responsibility for not being able to save his companion. Heartbroken by this tragedy, Dan, unfortunately, overdosed on pain medication and passed away.

Our hearts go out to Dan’s family and friends as this circumstance should have never occurred. Zanto was a loving dog who should have lived a happy life with his owner Dan. In America, there is no Federal law that bans or restricts dog breeds.

How can a country kill a loving fur baby who never did anything wrong?
