Finnish Photographer Baffled with the Unusual Friendship Between a Wolf and a Bear

It’s not only unusual but even unimaginable to see a wolf and a bear getting along like this, says Finnish photographer Lassi Rautiainen. The 56-year-old photographer was left speechless as he took these surprising photographs of the female grey wolf and male brown bear comfortably hanging out together. Lassi spotted them continuously every night for straight ten days in a row. He spotted them spending several hours together between 8pm and 4pm. The photographer even saw them sharing food together.

In an interview for Daily Mail, Lassi said that no one exactly knows how or when the young wolf and bear became friends. He did suggest that maybe they both were alone and young and a bit unsure of how to survive alone, so they became best friends.

As you can imagine, Lassi was quite excited to unexpectedly share this rare event in the wild. Take a minute to appreciate this rare moment in nature.
